In anticipation of the organization's next major event, the Ultimate Fighting Championship recently released a video preview of "UFC 110: Nogueira vs. Velasquez."
The show takes place Feb. 21 at Acer Arena in Australia and airs on pay-per-view.
In the enclosed video, UFC officials compare the effectiveness of a now-healthy Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira with the quickly improving Cain Velasquez. The two heavyweights meet in the night's main event.
UFC president Dana White argues that the Nogueira we saw in a losing effort to Frank Mir in late 2008 is not the same Nogueira who's since recovered from a staph infection and knee injury. Additionally, White says Velasquez, a collegiate wrestler who was unable to find willing opponents early in his MMA career, is now ready for a step up and capable of competing with the division's best fighters.
The video also breaks down the UFC 110 co-main event between Michael Bisping and Wanderlei Silva and how a victory could put either striker right back in the middleweight title picture.
